LISA Pathfinder mission

Last 4th of December 2015 ESA’s Lisa Pathfinder mission and spacecraft was launched on board a Vega rocket from Europe's spaceport in Kourou, French Guiana, on its way to demonstrate technology for observing gravitational waves from space

The LISA Pathfinder mission objective is to demonstrate the suitability of the technology that will be used on the future LISA mission to detect gravitational waves in space.

ERZIA has provided three units (Flight Models and a Spare Model) that have been integrated within the Acousto Optic Modulator, inside the Lisa Technology Package.

The objective of our units is to amplify a HF RF signal with very tight specifications in terms of power efficiency and noise.

In detail:
· 3 stage SSPA
· Included variable attenuator for signal leveling
· Included power detector
· Linearizers for attenuation and power meter signals
· Harmonics rejection
· Optimized efficiency

The units are placed on the RF path that feed the Laser unit, having a critical role on the whole systems.
